Melvor idle mastery pool3/10/2023 ![]() I would try to avoid spending any, for pretty much any skill, if it would drop you below a certain Mastery Pool Checkpoint, because most of those are pretty valuable.įishing for example, it's decent to boost a fish to 65 so you no longer catch junk. I'm currently at 85 mastery for it, which means there's a 20% chance to preserve resources as well as a 20% chance to obtain 2 items instead - So higher than a 1/5 chance to double the value of my ore, which I can then use to craft even more items for more XP So deciding on a tier of metal - such as Mithril - and then farming a lot of it and spending XP to level up the Mithril Bar mastery has the potential to add a lot of value Smithing seems fairly slow to level considering you have to mine first, even with the bonus XP from the store gloves. ![]() However, I've been mostly spending mine on skills that require resources to be gathered to even train the skill. ![]() I've only recently come back to this game so I could totally be wrong about the meta / the most efficient strats Let me ask differently: How do I figure out where it is valuable to spend XP as opposed to when it is wasteful to spend it? Where are the smart places to invest it? I make sure to never go below the 95% checkpoints myself but there may be other viable strategies. The when depends of how important are the checkpoints to you. Originally posted by Huillam:How? You click the "Spend XP" button in the top right corner of the screen. If you have 30 mastery in Normal Tree and 10 in Oak Tree, cutting a Normal Tree will have 15% chance to get 2 logs instead of 1 but that bonus will only be 5% for an Oak Tree. For example in Woodcutting every 10 levels provide 5% chance to get double the amount of log. Said bonus can be found by clicking on the "View Checkpoints" button in the top right corner of the screen.įinally you have item mastery: that one unlocks bonus that apply on an item basis (you can find the list by clicking on the icon displaying a cup in the bottom right corner of the screen). Skills mastery unlocks checkpoints giving various bonus that apply to every item with said skills (and sometimes to related items that are not directly tied to that skill). You can find the list of things to unlock by clicking on the icon displaying a medal in the bottom right corner of the screen. Melvor Idle version v1.1.Skills levels unlock milestones: new items to craft/equip/extract. In addition, the Amulet of Fishing also increases the rate at which fish (and therefore XP) is gained. This is due to the Fishing interval reduction provided by the amulet, which increases the number of actions over time, and in turn results in a greater increase in the average number of mastery tokens obtained when compared to the Clue Chasers Insignia. Note that for Fishing specifically, it is more beneficial to wear the Amulet of Fishing instead of the Clue Chasers Insignia. The drop chance for mastery tokens is 1 in \displaystyle. Mastery Tokens are earned randomly while training a non-combat skill. Mastery Tokens give 0.1% of the maximum mastery pool XP to Mastery Pool of the corresponding skill when they are claimed.
